Massage Therapy Certifications

Gwinnett College - Sandy Springs and the Rising Spirit School of Massage offers a 760-hour entry-level certification program in Massage Therapy. Our students learn first hand the benefits of alternative, holistic healing. Here are the Certifications you will receive upon completion.

NeuroMuscular Therapy

NMT is a very specific form of clinical, therapeutic massage that treats the cause of muscle related conditions. When you are able to help your clients, then your clients will refer other people who have similar problems. NeuroMuscular Therapy is considered the signature course of the Rising Spirit School of Massage.

Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage

The Swedish massage technique is the foundation of all massage. Students begin this class the first week of our program. Swedish massage is the flowing, relaxing, de-stressing type of massage that most people are familiar. When performed excellently, Swedish massage gives the client that wonderful “Oh, Wow!” experience of body/mind well being that they will return to you for time and again.

Chair Massage

In order to assist our graduates in growing their massage practices we have become one of the first massage schools in the country to incorporate chair massage into our curriculum. Chair massage is fully portable, inexpensive to the client, with the client remaining fully clothed and in a seated position. All of these factors make this the most effective way to “reach out and touch” our marketplace.

Reflexology (Certificate of Attendance)

Roz Zollinger is a native of Atlanta with over 20 years of Reflexology teaching experience. We are very fortunate to be able to use her proven methods of healing people by using the various zones in the feet.
